I Put Motivation On My To-Do List

Motivation. This is something I have a hard time always achieving. Sometimes, my motivation is skyrocketing--and other times, my motivation is nowhere to be found.

At Ohio Northern, motivation is truly key in all of its students. I know that the organizations I am involved in take a lot of commitment and motivation alike.

I have to remember that this is my last year of school and that I want to be a graduate of Ohio Northern. I have to do it for me now.

Reasons I need to stay motivated:

1. I want a degree in May so I can have a full-time job
2. I have a family I have to support once I graduate
3. I need to prove to myself I can do it.
4. To just be happy

I make lists when I get unmotivated, reminding myself that all of these things are important and key to having success in the future.

How do you stay motivated?

Are You Committed To Your Blog?

Blogging is like a relationship. You either put a lot of effort into it or your affection for it fades after a couple of posts. Well, folks--I am currently in a relationship with four blogs and let me tell you, it is hard juggling four different relationships. No one ever warned me how hard it would be!

I try to keep four different blogs for my different interests. They rank in various ways: my hobbies/interests, class blog, national organization blog, and a family blog. I have been neglecting about three out of four of them--not too good of a situation.

So how do you make sure to maintain your relationship with your blog?

1. Update your blog at least once a week. You don't need to update your blog every day, but it's a good idea to blog at least once--to keep your followers in the loop and interested.

2. Share relevant content. If your content isn't relevant to anything or to your blog's theme--you may lose some credibility and people won't want to come back to your blog and interact.

3. Set aside 15 minutes to 20 minutes every couple of days. Posts honestly don't take that long...just sit down and start typing. You will amaze yourself at how creative and awesome your ideas are!

4. If you need to break up with your blog, do it steadily. If you are leaving your blog, don't just do it cold turkey. Write posts that indicate it will no longer be in use and stop posting as often. But, make sure to let down your blog easy...

What are some ways you use to make sure you keep a healthy blog?
